Originally from California, Alex attended the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts) on an acting scholarship. Shortly after arriving, his facility at the piano earned him a rare invitation to join the Music Conservatory as well.
This dual background allows him to blend visual artistry with rhythmic precision, crafting films where the soundscape is as vital as the image.
Now creating from his studio in the Maine woods, Alex draws on his roots in documentary filmmaking to ground his narrative work in realism—allowing him to construct worlds that are authentic and deeply atmospheric.
